HELIOS® – the world’s most powerful 8K LED processing platform, leading the market in Virtual Production, Live Events and Fixed Installation receives update v24.11 today, further enhancing its industry leading capabilities. Available for immediate download by all HELIOS® users, v24.11 provides significant new features such as support for PTP time synchronization on ST 2110 inputs. This change drastically improves the performance of ST 2110 inputs to HELIOS, providing precision timing across large networks and a greater tolerance in the sources.
In addition to PTP support, users now have access to a built-in custom EDID editor for HELIOS®, enhancing compatibility with upstream display devices without the need for third party software. A basic baseline capability has also been added to HELIOS®, allowing users to set a system baseline and receive alerts if there is deviation in the connected tiles, an especially useful tool for mission critical project types.
Furthermore, humidity reporting is now possible with supported tiles, allowing users to ramp up screen performance while monitoring the humidity levels in each tile. This is an essential feature to protect LEDs from damage when activating a display in a humid environment. This extensive set of functionality was developed alongside our core user base, and has since gone through further refinement and testing so as with all Megapixel product releases, customers can benefit from industry leading reliability from release day.
