HELIOS – the world’s most powerful 8K LED processing platform leading the market in Virtual Production and Live Events receives update v24.07 today, further enhancing its industry-leading ST 2110 ingest capabilities.
Available for immediate download by all HELIOS users, v24.07 features significant improvements such as support for NMOS IS-04 (Discovery and Registration) and NMOS IS-05 (Connection Management). This allows HELIOS users to easily discover and subscribe to ST 2110 streams via its 10G and 100G fiber input modules.
In addition to IS-04 and IS-05, support for Redundant Stream Protection (ST 2022-7) has also been added to the ST 2110 capabilities. This allows separate “red/blue” network streams to be ingested by HELIOS to enable seamless switching to redundant streams in case of primary stream failure.
This extensive set of functionality was developed alongside the Eurovision Song Contest earlier this year and has since gone through further refinement and testing so that with all Megapixel product releases, customers can benefit from industry-leading reliability from release day.
24 other feature enhancements are shipping with this release and dozens of other improvements to the HELIOS platform.
