Innovation Timeline

2003

Element Labs elevates LED.

At visionary start-up Element Labs, co-founder Jeremy Hochman creates Versa TUBE – the first linear, mappable video fixture. Versa TILE becomes synonymous with high-end architectural backdrops, making LEDs a beautiful, luxury surface for the first time.

2003

Pixel mapping is born.

Element Labs creates RasterMapper, the industry’s first pixel mapping software. A true software trailblazer, it allows for creative fixture placement along with the video and data distribution hardware to run true video signals to the fixtures.

2006

See-through display arrives.

Element Labs creates Stealth, transparent video display technology, allowing for designers to have artistic control over video elements for the very first time. Stealth becomes the most sought-after video display tile in the world.

2007

Beginnings of ultra-thin display

Element Labs designs Cobra, the first ultra-thin, die-cast unibody LED panel with an integrated latching mechanism, becoming the highest shipping volume LED tile in the world. This leads to the creation of the RS Series by many of our team members at Revolution Display: still regarded as one of the most innovative LED tiles for high performance award-winning architectural installations.

2012

LED goes feather light

Our designers create a new industry standard for thin LED displays with the Revolution Display Carbon and Air products. These are the first tiles to incorporate aerospace-grade materials, creating an ultralight framing system for minimal structure and quick and easy assembly.

2015

Product of the Year Winners

Many of our star engineers are involved in the development of the M8 Platform: the first 4K LED processor with integrated fiber, with a processing capacity of close to a quarter billion pixels. The product wins the Live Design Product of the Year Award in 2015.

2019

Megapixel debuts HELIOS

The HELIOS® LED Processing Platform
is created to drive 8K for the most demanding and critical applications – becoming the gold standard for color accurate HDR workflows.

2021

Megapixel launches ST 2110 Technology

The HELIOS platform gains industry-first SMPTE ST-2110 and IPMX native input capability. These leading edge AVoverIP formats revolutionize how video and audio signals are routed through broadcast and installation environments. In partnership with Epic Games, NVIDIA, and AMD.
